We spoke to former Artist Services intern, and now Email Production Coordinator for Warner Music UK, Laurent Harald Woker about working for the biggest record companies in the world.

Having originally completed a Bachelor in International Hospitality Management, Laurent developed many personal projects that have involved diverse subjects throughout his studies. After his degree, he moved to London and took a sound engineering course for a year, while also freelancing with independent musicians.

His love of music and the industry were deciding factors in his decision to become part of the music industry full-time - and then along came Warner Music UK.

Tell us about career path up to now

Hospitality was a big part of my degree even though I was always fascinated by the creative industries. Both require versatility and imagination, as well as the ability to keep up with changing environments and multiple industry players. As they really go hand in hand, once I managed to grasp the fundamentals of one, it just felt natural to apply the same to the other.
