Warner Music UK Intern Ellys Airey, tells us about her internship at one of the world's largest record companies.

Ellys Airey, a geography graduate who now as Creative Production Intern for Warner Music UK is responsible for the production of promotional CD's and digital streams. She works with the marketing and A&R teams to put together a promotional CD that get sent out to press.

Elsewhere she is also partly responsible for the payment of suppliers, online digital streaming, and a number of administrative jobs including, writing minutes and sending out the agenda for production calls with the US.

How did you make the step from geography graduate to Warner Intern? That's quite the transition.

So the majority of people who were interviewing for the role were from music backgrounds, but as was shown, this was not essential to getting the internship. I think geography in its breadth helped me to develop a lot of broad-based skills, which could easily be transferred to this role.
