An aspiring journalist, Andy (Anne Hathaway) lands a job as a junior personal assistant to the Editor-in-Chief of Runway magazine. She stumbles through the world of fashion and tolerates her devil of a boss, in hopes that her job could be the birth of her editorial dream, but Andy soon realises her ridiculous lack of work-life balance and the drastic effects of her sacrifices.
